- The defending Olympic men’s basketball champions Team USA clash with Serbia in their Group C opener at the Paris Olympics on Sunday.
- The match starts at 5:15pm local time (15:15 GMT) and will be played at Pierre Mauroy Stadium, near Lille, in northern France.
- Serbia, led by reigning NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) Nikola Jokic, were the silver medallists at Rio de Janeiro 2016 and are looking to win a first gold medal at Paris 2024.
- Team USA, who have won 16 of the 20 Olympic gold medals in the tournament’s history, are the heavy favourites to collect another gold with a star-studded team featuring NBA superstars LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant.
